Default RE: Show Us Your Aero Ace Custom Builds

ORIGINAL: Neurotex

I had built a rubber powered FF Sig Mini Maxer years back and I modified
that wing to build the flying wing. The red boomerang wing is also a lengthened
scaled down Mini Maxer wing. If you want the Mini Maxer plans I can post them.
The pic shows one variation with a horizontal rear stab. The finished model
has the two cf rod plug in adjustable stabs.

Flying wings for me are very difficult to trim as this one proved to be
even with the rear stabs. It proved to be underpowered and was eventually
going to get the larger N20's until I started frying rx's. By the time I solved
that problem it ended up being shelved because I got started on something
else.
The plane did eventually lead me to search for a flying wing that was easy
to fly which led to a flying wing/canard type plane. This design proved very easy
to trim and flys as well as the jet designs. You can find these plans in the plans
section of the "aa tool box/futuristic planes/flig" [link=http://aatoolbox.no-ip.org/]aatoolbox[/link]
or try to download them from below.
Also I posted the plans for the jet in pic #8 which turned out to be a very
good flyer.
If you do plan on building a true flying wing they are a handfull and will
try your patience to the max!
Thanks bro, these plans and drawings are really helpful.

I agree with you it can be frustrating to mod/create something and make sure it can fly and be controllable. But the satisfaction is priceless when it get to fly well and you are in total control of it.

Had same exp when I was modifying my xtwin classic trainer.

Sow the seed with patient and endurance and you will get to enjoy the fruit of happiness later.

Cheers
