Hey bigbird, since you mentioned the "washout" of the elevators I noticed that too. But I don't think it really is a washout, but an optical illusion. I sheeted all my tail feathers with balsa and I know they are as straight as an arrow. If you meant a 2.4 (FPE) I am going with, I have to disappoint you. It's a FPE 1.3 .As I mentioned in an earlier posting, here way back, a buddy in my club flies his with a Zenoah 20 and a three bladed 14x7 prop. Turns that little engine 8.9 K ! I had that FPE in my GP Curtiss Hawk P6-E and it flew it very scale like. Now the Hawk got a brandnew Brillelli 26 SS. If, for some reason, the FPE doesn't hack it I swap engines. They are physically the same size, the Brillelli being a tad lighter. How far are you, bigbird? I remember you are building just as long as I have. I will take some pictures, but right now it's overcast and ready to rain any minute.
