Lexan I thought might be able to take the punishment, If Carbon fiber can take it why not the Lexan. Sure shock towers maybe a bit too stressful for the lexan, but if milled correctly should do good for the frame, just not sure what the flexibility would be compared to billet. 3mm of aluminum isnt all that strong compared to the lexan. Just was wondering if it was worth experimenting with. Ive done alot of work with poly carbonites and 1/4 lxan will take a good bit of abuse. It will stop a 22 round at 25 yards. Any1 tried anything like it b4, maybe carbon fiber or T6 aluminum? It would be worth it If you could cut out a 100 grams.
