In this application (this particular airplane) I don't think it is too much of an issue. The engine is out in the open and has lots of surface area open to any air movement. I have spent more time than I wanted tuning on the ground and have experience no problems. I have watched the engine such the exhaust through the prop very efficiently. That said be sure to keep it slightly rich and do not let it go lean.
