Default RE: brushless

dartvader!

Dude if that motor in the pic in your first post is the motor you bought with the intension of hoping up your stryker b then it will not fit. At least not easily anyways. What i see there is an out runner type motor (this is where the outside can spins) and what you need is an in runner type motor (where the inside shaft spins)

Now dude listen to me... before you dart off (no pun intended) and buy anymore stuff.

STOP!!!!!

First off its not very cost effective to hop up a stryker b unless you have most of the important parts lieing round

by that i mean

a standard receiver and transmitter (not what is sold with the stryker b)

if you want more fun with your stryker b and dont want to spend too much money right up front contact park zone ask them to recomend a lipo battery and charger for your stryker b

while yout at it buy extra motors for the strker b (your going to need it) and when you use them break them in by removing the prop and running it on low throttle for about an hour
make sure that there is no arching (sparks) on the brushes. Then use the lipo prop that came with your stryker b This is the cheapest route to more fun with your stryker

if you insist on hopping up you stryker then this link below will supply you with all the insite you need and more trust me

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...89169&page=240

i dunno if the link will be removed or not so go to google and type in "F-27 how far can you take it" click on the link with those words and read read read.

but fair warning
if you are going to try hopping up then just consider this first

you need standard equippment to do this so you need

1) brushless motor inrunner type ranging from 22-25-28- or 3000kv believe it of not parkzone uses the 1880kv on the stryker C and boy does it scream!
the cost of such a motor ranges from $60-$100 most people use mega motors which are round $90
2) standard Receiver $30-$70 and standard transmitter wow that can cost anywhere from $60 and up just depends on what you get
3) two standard servos $16-$21
3) motor speed controller anywhere from a 20amp to 40amp so thats around $40-$70 depending on brand
4) lipo battery pack whats normally used are thunder power packs 3S1P packs from 2100mAh at 20 or 30C ratings your talking round $60-$80 and chager ment for lipo which is anywhere from $30-80 or over $100 depending on what you get.

Im not kidding all of this is what you are going to need to get to upgrade that stryker. now unless you have all of that round somewhere your talking too much money in my opin

listen your best bet..

your very best bet if your yearning for a zippier stryker is to just get the stryker C from parkzone and be done with it

thats only going to run you $250

you get the plane the TX the battery and charger the motor heck you get it all for just $250 and you get a very capable very fast very agile stryker that can go vertical in an instant

its worth it and its a hell of a lot less of a headache than putting it together your self. unless you got money to burn and a load of patience

i really hope this helps i really do cuz just a few months ago i was in your shoes haha :P

that motor you got though.. i woulddnt feel like it was wasted money though.
im sure its a pretty good one so hang onto it and im sure in future you can find good use for it
it never hurts to have extra parts trust me!
