Also, a coat of Nitrate dope before glassing with lightweight glass and epoxy helps keep the epoxy from soaking in too much.

Oh yah...I've done dope before.........I try to lay down a coat of clear dope before I hit something with WB PolyU. I feel it help keep the water in the polyU from soaking into the wood so much.
