Default RE: Modeltech Cap21 arc???

I had a .60 size ( 72" ) Great Planes Cap 21 way back in the 80's. It must have been similiar to the Modeltech. The GP one tended to be heavy ( about 9 lbs. ) as I remember. It was snappy if you got too slow on approach and flat spins had a pucker power of 9.5 ( didn't want to stop sometimes ) but I loved it. There have been a few kits for sale on E - Bay lately and I have tried to buy but the price of these old kits have gotten outa hand. There right up there with a '57 Vette ( yeah I had one of those too ) took me 6 weeks to sell it for $1500 in 1970 []

If I build another ?? I would put a YS 110 or maybe a 140 in it. I had to build a weight box on the front end of mine and put something like 20 ozs. of lead in it to balance it - OS .61 engine. It may even be a candidate for a small gasser if you like gassers ( I don't ).
