Agreed! I made a cage out of some unknown steel rods I found and some copper tubing, and the only way i could get it to work is to heat up both pieces witha butane torch, then go crazy with the soldering paste.

I had both silver solder and rosin core solder, and I found that the rosin core actually stuck better.
