Default GP Pitts flight and spinner failure

On the first flight of GP Pitts the spinner bracket failed. One side broke off at the base of the backplate. G38 with an 18/10 prop. Everything looked smooth and felt smooth on the ground. Prop was plenty big so excessive rpm was not a problem. No harm done so will use the old tried and proven setup nextime. Weight was exactly 15#. Servos were up front, not in the tail, and two servos on the ailerons with push rods to the upper ailerons. Trim was good with forward CG. I'll move a battery back under the servos and that should help the CG. The landing gear is not going to stand up very well and you can see it spreading out just taxing around. Will use a spring and cable to put more tension on the gear . With bigger engines this could become a real problem. Landing was easy with good float. What this plane needs is a good hot 2 cycle engine like a Moki 1.8 or 2.10. I didn't want the mess of glow fuel and a test bed for my G38s so will leave it at that for now. To bad we can't see more landing gears like whats under the Hanger nine Pizzaz.
