Come on edible make an effort with the spelling, everybody thinks you are a baby monkey with a keyboard!
With regard to noise, the Saito is lovely quiet below 1/2 throttle, and then makes a deep roaring sound at full power. Within 10 decibels to that of an Irvine 53 at full chat with a 13x4 prop.
To awnswer everybodies questions, i'm running in the Saito 72 with a 12x8 along with Irvine contest 10%nitro fuel. After four tanks i am getting nearly 10,000 rpm with this prop.
Anybody got figures of the West 50 or irvine 53 with this prop? Archie reccommends the 13x6 for the Saito. i will put it on when its run in.
It starts really well!
At the moment it needs adjusting to run really smoothly. At the moment its a bit uneven but hey its a new engine!
The valvy bits need to be adjusted after 1 hour running in.
I will adjust the low speed needle after 6 tanks have gone through.
So far.....the engine is very good for how new it is.
Hercmate, Ive seen 3Dsteins capiche with one at sandown doing really low level torque rolling so if its good enough for such a good pilot it will probably be enough for the likes of you and me!
Should i put this info into another thread titled "Capiche 50 engines"?
