If you have orange peel it usually means the paint was too dry or too thick when it hit the surface.

If using a spray gun the paint should be thinned some more.

If using a spray can then hold the can closer to the surface, but move it faster across the surface to prevent curtaining. It is a question of "Technique and practice"
