are you sure you have your esc set to soft start ? i have same setup and i have flew mine with no problem yet ! "knock on wood !!!" mine starts just a little hard bot not so hard as to damage parts ! i would move motor away from main gear so that main blades do not turn and go threw esc setup again !and watch the pinion on the start you will see the dif
