Default RE: OUCH...Blade CX2

This is going to sound crazy, and I am the only person that I have seen comment on this but...... get the boomtown hobbies skid and tailboom kit from Jamie or eBay. I swear my blade strikes reduced after getting this. I think part of my strikes may have been cause by either the wash off the original canopy, or the blade striking the canopy and deflecting into the other blade. Yes, you can get the Dynam vortex inner and outer shafts, and get a aluminum eflite head hub for the inner shaft. It will all link up and spread the blades apart just a touch more and has been reported to reduce the strikes. I tried this and my attempt failed due to the TBE I seem to always get with the aluminum head hub. Have tried 3, all three seemed to hold the flybar too tight or something. I gave up on it. Others have succeeded. Again, I know the tailboom theory sounds nuts, but my strikes decreased with the mod. Also, I suffered the exact same type of crash as you. Mine was from 25-35 ft up though and it did the death spiral to the asphalt!!! Canopy was destroyed, front and rear. I got the boomkit the next day by chance and got a yellow cx canopy at the LHS and was back in biz! I think BPhobbies and slickzero both carry the dynam vortex parts. I would do that and not get the "kit" you see online for this. The "kit" consists of the same parts relabeled and priced much higher.
