what you ahve to remember is that the 9C will do airplaned as well and is very esy to program. I have programmed the Eclipse and the 9C is easier. When I started flying helis I said all I want to do is fly around, but after I went to my first fun fly and I was about the only guy just flying around I though hey that looks cool. Now I use my G2 for leaning 3D stuff and have learned to hover inverted as well. Don't limit yourself you may be a natural and turn into the next hotdog and then you would kick yourself for not having the radio of choice. Speaking of the radio of choice I have the JR 10X heli and airplane versions and wouldn't trade them for anything.
