Jeff: BEFORE you chuck the glue that may or may not be good, why not glue up a few pieces of scrap wood?
You can try a few common joints like you would find in a model. (butt joints, lap joints, splices etc)After a 24 hr cure time, test the joints to destruction. If the wood breaks before the joint, the glue is good.
