Maybe check out the new Typhoon 2 from Horizon Hobby. It has digital servos nad my guess is that they are JR DS285's which are great.

FWIW, assembling most foamies is pretty darn easy. The good ones almost snap together and then you simply apply glue. The radio install is super simple since it's all outside the plane. Course you're looking at closer to $300 from my experience. Fancy Foam has complete combos, short a Tx, for $260. A used Tx, 6 channel or so, can be had for $40-50.
