A good 3D plane, or a plane that will 3D at all for $50 is highly doubtful. I doubt you can get a decent 3D plane for $150 quite frankly, maybe used. All of my 3D planes are more than that and are not RTF.

if you don't already own a radio it's going to be hard to get a quality 3d plane for that price. The typhoon that was mentioned is about as close as you're going to get although I would never suggest an rtf 3d plane due to the good possibility of crash damage and having a worthless pile of parts laying around, especially after you've stripped all of their cheap servos to uselessness

Well there are many great flat foamy 3d planes for that sort of price but add in the gear required to fly it and you're at well over $200 and I agree with the above comment RTF 3d planes are the dumbest idea I have seen in a long time.

I would totally suggest typhoon... It flys very well, servos are not some quality stuff but they work.. Assembly is very, very easy..

Maybe check out the new Typhoon 2 from Horizon Hobby. It has digital servos nad my guess is that they are JR DS285's which are great.
FWIW, assembling most foamies is pretty darn easy. The good ones almost snap together and then you simply apply glue. The radio install is super simple since it's all outside the plane. Course you're looking at closer to $300 from my experience. Fancy Foam has complete combos, short a Tx, for $260. A used Tx, 6 channel or so, can be had for $40-50.
