RE: World Models Super Chipmunk Setup??
I had one of the very first Chipmunks from World Models way back when, I lived thirty minuets from the distributor, Airborne Models in Livermore that supplied Sheldon's Hobbies which was twenty minuets from me in San Jose.
The Chipmunk is a very good flier and construction has come a long way from the first generation birds in that they no longer use "hot glue" like in the retracts on the one I had.
I used a inverted Super Tiger 90-K with a "war bird" in cowl muffler from Top-Flite, seemed to be a perfect match.
I don't recall just how much room is in the fuse for smoke but don't go over board with the tank, eight ounces should be enough for show work. I used a 12 oz. tank in my Goldberg Sukhoi with a Webra 120, 12 oz's of smoke oil and 16 oz's of fuel made for some harry flying for the first five minuets or so till the plane lightened up a little.
It was so long ago I can't remember the name of the smoke pump but it plugged into my receiver, any switched channel except retracts and had it's own 600 mil battery.
Good luck.
