Ya i am running hitec 425BB's all around. I wouldn't mind putting i high tourque on the rudder for knife edge but def. not a neccesity.

Mine was happy with JR539s all round ... then I also used Futaba 9402s on ELE/RUD ... the 9402s are superb analog servos.

Fly - is she smooth or is she smooth?

Smoothh is an understatement. I have never enjoyed flying a plane this much. The one and only thing i don't like is when you do a low fast pass you can see the tail wagging a little, i am assuming that it is from the rudder cantiliver (sp?) but that is the only thing

Well today started off with rain but late this afternoon it started to clear off and became nice after supper. So i loaded up my daughter my SSE and my Chippie picked up my video man and off we went. The first time i took off and flew around it smoked beautifully and away we went. The second time i took off it smoked for about 3 seconds and then ran out!!!!!!!!! apparently i need to adjust the amount of smoke oil that comes out as i am going through a tank way to fast. Anyways i didn't have my smoke oil with me (DUH!!) so i brought it back down and fired up me SSE. I took off made a couple passes and then while in a steep dive it started to corkscrew went throttle wide open and SMACK into the ground. Upon inspection my power switch fried taking out the battery!!!!! Here are some pics. I don't think i will repair it but i put it in a garbage bag and set it up on a shelf and will forget about it for a while. All the servo's are fine but i am going to send the reciever away to get it tested before i put it in another plane. Bummer.!! Worst part about the evening was my buddy with the video camera forgot to hit record the first flight so all i have is 3 seconds of smoke, plus it was the first time he tried videoing a plane and lost it soon after that. I will get him to upload the video and put what little footage i got on here.

Sorry about your loss. I had a switch problem last summer I caught in time.

My Chipmunk after the weight loss surgery is ready to go. I broke in an old, but new OS .91 (circa 1992). After 4 tanks, it peaked at 10k with an APC 14-7 on 20/20 fuel. I can't wait to see how it flies now.

Fly - you love to help the farmers don't you! The tailwag might be caused by the wind, the Chippie has a big rudder. I am so tempted to get No. 3! No. 2 was retired as I bought cheap batts last time and they bloated after 3-4 cycles then I gave her to a friend because I smashed up his fat plane very badly (I told him clearly that I did not want to fly it!!!)
