I've actually seen a NIB Hanno Special sell for $750 US on EBay (I keep track of pattern stuff so I can decide if I want to bid and how bad I want the item). Hey, a used one just sold for $261 on eBay.
Have you checked out the prices for the muscle cars of the late '60s - early '70s? When it goes out of production the price goes up (well, maybe not for Yugos )
What is sad though is these planes/equipment are becoming like muscle cars. Some one sees a kit sell for $400+ and now every kit (or equipment) from that era is $400+ no matter what it is or condition it is in. Now, throw in all these people who sees these kits/equipment sell for this kind of money on auction sites....that could care less about these planes/equipment.... jumps on the band wagon and buys everthing up only to sell it for 100% profit and spike the prices.... really takes away from the hobby and the people who have kept these planes around and in the air.

As far as Yugos goes. You watch... they will go throught the roof too. They said AMC cars will never go anywhere. Now look. As a proud owner of a pair of AMXs for m-a-n-y years (who beats the living heck out of them beating up on the other "makes" and drives them in the rain...[8D]) There is no way I could afford them now if I had to buy them by today's standards. Just like the fate of many of these kits/equipment that are being sold/bought today....it is like the "muscle car" era car being sold today . The chances of them being used for what they were designed for is slim to none.

Just my 2 cents
