I learned on a Blade-CP and am glad I did. Once you can fly that little thing the bigger birds will be a breeze! The CP is also very cheap and easy to repair when you crash, and you will crash... At some point you will probably want to get a bigger heavier bird for flying in wind etc (I went from the Blade-CP to Falcon-3d to T-Rex 450SA), but the Blade-CP is not a bad starting point. Stick with cheap wood blades until you get good at flying, that way the blades will shatter/break and keep the head parts intact (most of the time!). I used cheap knock-off blades from helihobby.com when I had the blade, they were around $8.00 a pair.
