why not make the gear take up the shock?
this is not a novel idea -it is as old as aircraft .
this model cries out for a good, light , wire gear.
this hobby has become like custom kars where appearance is everything and practical approaches are not considered.
aluminum and carbon gear do not take up fore/aft shock loads - they can be made to take up some other loads tho.
