Hi Everyone,

I am fresh new to this hobby. A friend of my parents used to be very involved in the hobby and a built piper J-3 cub was given to me by the friend that passed away by complications. He was going to teach me how to fly an rc plane this summer. It came with a 4+ channed Expert radio (I have no idea if this radio can work with a buddy box) with futaba s3003 servos, and a Super Tigre .61 engine. I am trying to think about what kind of trainer plane that I could buy in which the step up plane is the J-3 cub. I would like to use the servos and the engine some how in a ARF plane such as the Hobbico Hobbistar or the Tower Hobbies trainer.

What to you all recommend? I am way in over my head and I have a lot of learning to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
