Default RE: New Blackhawk Heli... A lil bigger than T-Rex

Timeflyer1, congrats on the outdoor flight! I am glad you are enjoying your heli... The weather was nice here on Monday and so I took the BH500 out for a couple of flights. It was the first time the weather cooperated in quite a while! Alas we have a snow storm moving in for the next 2 days.[:@]

Oh, I wanted to clarify for a few of you regarding the idle up. For those of you who already know this please forgive me I just want to make sure everyone is aware. Idle up should only be used when the rotors are up to speed just before liftoff since the throttle curve changes to approx. 75% throttle and zero pitch at neutral stick. This way you have full positive and neg. pitch. If this switch is flipped prior to plugging in the battery or without the proper headspeed it will likely strip the main gear and put much strain on the motor since it is immediately trying to go to 75% throttle. I just wanted to give a word of caution to everyone since the manual doesn't say much regarding this.
