Default RE: FALCON HEAD/ CONTROL ROD PROBLEM

This is what bugs me.
Before the crash I had both sides evened out and appx 1/8th "threads showing on both sides.
Well, I took both off and I turned them both in until the threads were bottomed out so now that problem is solved.
I didn't try tracking the blades because when the swash plate is tilted all the way back one of those black links I guess is worn and turns to much on the ball and hangs up.
I have a bag of new ones here but I still would like to find out why I could not keep the other settings.
I tied some light nylon thread on the head to hold that rod in place and it gave no problems.
I looked at the other Falcon and the ends are screwed out of 1/2 the threads on the rod.
Well, I did fire it up and it's looking good and when I went up a bit on the pitch the slight tail jump I had went away.
So it looks like I just have to track the blades and start from scratch.
Their not that far off and I did lift the weight of the heli off the training balls so it flying.
Thanks for responding.
When I dive into something new I really appreciate all the help others offer
