There are plenty of tips in that sticky. Don't be afraid to do it. After your first time it's a lot easier and you'll wonder why you got nervous, just like drilling the first hole in a new hull.
If you want any other tips for that boat, I do have experience with the AJ also as inside, they're almost identical to the GT.
One quick thing is to replace the stock tank with a Sullivan SS-4 (Square Slant 4 ounce). It will fit right in where the one does and give you a lot more run time. I've also rotated the cooling head 90 degrees as I didn't like the water intake line over the carb. The engines are cranky when new and will really vibrate badly. After a few tankfuls it will settle down and start very easily if you have the carb dialed in, a lot of times on the first pull.
