That's a lot of prop for an .18 engine. The Octura M435/3 might be a better choice in 3 blades.

It should be able to turn an X-637 with no problem but there are people that have used the X-440/3 but I don't know how they did it without overloading the engine.
I used to have a Grey Thunder with the .16 in it and it cranked the X-637 over just fine. Dump that stock prop and you'll see a lot more speed. The only thing that it does is throw a big roostertail.

There are plenty of tips in that sticky. Don't be afraid to do it. After your first time it's a lot easier and you'll wonder why you got nervous, just like drilling the first hole in a new hull.
If you want any other tips for that boat, I do have experience with the AJ also as inside, they're almost identical to the GT.
One quick thing is to replace the stock tank with a Sullivan SS-4 (Square Slant 4 ounce). It will fit right in where the one does and give you a lot more run time. I've also rotated the cooling head 90 degrees as I didn't like the water intake line over the carb. The engines are cranky when new and will really vibrate badly. After a few tankfuls it will settle down and start very easily if you have the carb dialed in, a lot of times on the first pull.

You may be able to run those big props, but you may have to play with the strut height and exhaust length to make sure you in the sweet spot of your engine rpm. Hmm, aquajet mono??? Is the prop on the bottom of the boat? If the prop runs submerged, it might be a little too much for the .18. I probably go with the m435/3. If you use a bigger prop, a good toss will be a definite requirement.

It's a surface drive boat but the problem is that it's not adjustable.
The hull is fuel-resistant, not fuel-proof so any fuel that spills has to bev cleaned up ASAP or it will melt the plastic. I know. Mine had a molded in skeg so a lot of it went to an inacessable area.

Go to offshoreelectrics.com and steve will hook you up with some good props for that thing. I don't think you could turn over a 440/3. You are most likely are going to want a 2 bladed prop for that .18 and shallow v hull.
