There is a company called United Hobbies that has been advertising here at RC Universe. They have a wide variety of inexpensive brushless motors, speed controllers, and LiPo batteries. They are located in Hong Kong, but the shipping is still reasonable:

$4 micro servos, $16 18A brushless ESCs, $18 1000Mah 3S LiPo packs with balancing charge jacks. The overall quality is supposed to be very good, but if something fails I suspect you may as well throw it in the trash and order again. I can't even imagine that an RMA warranty return on a $4 servo would be worth the trouble.
