No it has no reverse, only forward and brake functions. No good for me with the rigger to go backwards.

As for the voltage , I've only run 9.6V (8 cells) to 12V (10 cells) through it, with water through the cooling unit. No idea how it will run with 6V but you can give it a try, but watch the temp....if you not running water.
