I realize I can't use standoffs with your mount. What I was thinking of was mounting it to a box attached to the firewall. I might also have to relieve the firewall to accommodate the well nuts. I'm still considering other options too. Not sure what I will use yet.

I'm a new to pattern and am just learning how to install an engine in a pattern plane. Soft mounts and nose-rings are new to me. I now realize that I just have to remove the thrust washer to install the nose ring. The Gator will probably fit.

I'll get it eventually. I always do!
