Default RE: Nitro heli for a beginner

All JR helis are top of the line but parts arent cheap, depending on which part of the world your in. The two most important things are that you have easy access to get parts and that you put more money into your electronics (helis can be upgraded and changed out) but you want to have electronics and an engine that is good enough to use in other helis, should you want to change out your model somewhere down the line. Also it is these thing that determine how you heli is going to respond in the air. A good helicopter with bad electronics wont fly good but a cheap helicopter with good electronics and lots of power will get you far. But if you want a good heli with good equipment then this is better than everything mentioned above. Hope this helps. Just so its said, I use Futaba 401 Gyro on all my Helis because I know what it is good for. JR Gyros are very good as well. But if you dont have one of these or better than getting a good nitro heli setup is money wasted.
