I ran into your post.
I may be wrong but I do recall that monokote is used on the Avistar
The thinner one is called econokote and is appx $3.00 cheaper then the thicker rmonokote.
Use what you have.
Heck I use packing tape (the heavy duty tape)

Never did much with the more modern covering but I read a lot of material on it
