with an airtronics, nope it can't. They use positive shift, but if you are switching out the Rx, then of course if it is compatible with the Tx you are using then you should be off and going =)

not sure what you mean by pin outs.

channel 1 is the rear right servo looking at it from the rear
channel 2 is the front servo
channel 3 is the throttle
channel 4 is the rudder
channel 5 is the remote gyro gain
channel 6 is the rear let servo
