LT40
I see you don't want to build something right now and want an ARF. I built the LT40 and understand the work involved and the fragility of the thing. If price is a problem go with an Airmadillo Kombat 40 trainer from the Airplane factory ($85 and all parts to build are included) which is a spad in kit form. Buy the Futaba Skysport ($140) radio 4 channel, and get a OS46LA for about $60. Add in the servos and receiver and battery and you are at close to $400. Then you can go fly in a short time with a durable plane. Buying or making a short wing for the trainer will let you advance from beginner stage later on. That setup will give you lots of fun and teach you to fly. Then build a simple Spad like the Saturday night special and advance more. Bigger engines and radios can come much later. Only way to beat this cost wise is to find some used equipment. Good luck
