I see you are the gasser guru, got a quick question. I just received a new G62, and need to tap it for smoke. This one has a spot on the rear of crankcase, that is nice and flat, and has a small indentation there already. Looks like a great place for a smoke tap. Am I off track here? Also, can I just pop that half the crankcase off to do the work? Hoping The needles are caged so they don't end up all over the place.
