RE: Twist 150 and havin fun
Ilivetocrash, going with the recommended rates will work fine, just make sure you have at least 30% expo on the elevator, when balancing the aircraft, since you will be plenty nose heavy, you have to rerig the electronics to the rear of the center section, if you can balance the a/c up side down and move things around to get the CofG where you want. My twist came out slightly nose heavy with the OS 1.60, it does fall to the canopy on the 45* inverted up line. I have not moved any thing to the rear yet, still getting used to a/c. The gasser should work out well, slightly heavy compared to the OS 1.60, the ideal motor for the 150 will be the OS 1.20 or its eguivalent. Once you get used to the A/C turn up the rates, it hovers quite easily, just make sure you have lots of elevator and rudder, also add the expo at 40% or more. I do not know the names for the 3-d manuvers but it sure likes doing a slow approach to land, then, slowly pull up while slowly adding power into the hover. The KE will need coupling but until I get to a rearward CofG I am not sure how much, this A/C makes me look like much better pilot than I really am, 0 to hero in about 3 days. Enjoy.
