Test flew my Blue Angel Flash last weekend at Tokoroa airfield, Jet 120, full by pass and NACA ducts, BVM cloth over the elevator, no heat problems. header tank gave a few problems, foaming around 3/4 power, changed for another one and that fixed the problem. Watched another Flash fly before my turn there are only two in New Zealand at this time, really hot number, reduced my aileron throw to 15mm , elevator set at 20 mm, Takeoff was drama free , most of the flight was at half power, a bit of right aileron, a couple of clicks up trim, all good, you need all the elevator for landing, flaps set as per the book, half power on the Jet Cat 120 reads 180 km on the radar gun. having some problems with the Jet Tronics retract valve, using a lot air, main leg hanging out, nose leg didn't lock properly, small scape on nose, but really pleased with it. looking forward to more flights.
