You know, I`m going to be in the K.C area in about 3 weeks and bringing a couple of planes . Want to hook up and burn some holes in the sky ?
I hope you got that boy of yours a foamie . 5 yrs. old huh ? Thats cool . Your lucky , alot of kids don`t care for the hobby.
The 4* is going to be rebuilt and I hope to post some pics later today as I need a little advise on how to repair the fuse.
Thanks a bunch for the kind words. Lets go flying in a few weeks.
Which field are you coming to? If we hook up, YOU might be punching holes in the sky, but you will be training me on a buddy box! At this point I've been mostly restoring and recovering planes, but very little actual flying time. I'm a full-time single daddy of 5, 7, and 16-year old kids and I can't ever seem to get out to the field to actually fly them. I flew Ucontrol as a teenager, and loved modeling, Then nothing for 30 years. Now just back into RC flying for relaxation and a much needed hobby after my unfortunate divorce. But as an RC pilot I'm a middle-aged novice newbie.
All this week in KC after the floods we had calm winds and perfect temps and I still couldn't make it out to fly. I do drag the kids out with me sometimes just to watch, and the 5-year old boy loves it, and my 7-year old girl just humors me. I'm doing an old PT-40 trainer in the Barbie motif (ala Ken's PIF) just to humor her. Let me know when and where you (and also you Ken) will be here in KC and we will definitley seek you out.
