I've run several engines on my LT-40, and the Saito .50 (yes, a .50) was just about the best. That plane would putt around all day. The .82 is a lot, but that's what the left stick is for. I've often found that more engne (and weight) isn't always better. The .82 is plenty of engine, but it may just add more weight.
It's not like an LT-40 can't handle a couple extra ounces of weight. They float.
