Personally I still think both would be OK.
The Hawk with the 44 Gold and 'sport wing' will slow up much more than with the current wing.
The Sabre with the Wren 44 in slows to walking pace on landing with almost no wind. I was with Steve when he flew his at Wroughton.
50 meters is 162 ft, more than enough in my honest opinion.
