Default RE: DX-7

this Capacitor is not new, the car boys have been using them on the car 2.4 systems since they first come out! i cant believe no one from Horizon has not mentioned this before? i was aware of this capacitor but never used one as i always make sure i use heavy duty cabling in the batterys and always make sure my batteries / switches can deliver under the loads required. i also only use 5 cell.

i did discover a problem with an RX shutting off on my sons 3M Extra though, and after investigation it was a tag on one of the 3600ma NMH was not spot welded properly and it was just the heat shrink holding the tag in contact with the battery! this was a reputable brand battery! i think on a standard RX i would have not noticed this for a while as normal RXs are not as power critical. i now cut the heat shrink off all my new batteries and check the welds.

bit diaspointed in the JR/ Horizon reps for not being aware of this easy fix. i did mention the fact that the car boys use the capacitor to one of the Spektrum guys at Florida Jets and he just looked at me like i was an idiot!!
