I used to have problems with excessive heat, I'd richen it up 1/8 turn and it ran like a dog and only lost a few degrees.

It turned out to be the cheap fuel I was using, unbeknown to me it did not have enough oil in it!!
But I only found out after, breaking a crank [:@], then the con rod.[:@][:@]

I bough better fuel with the correct amount of oil and now is it a monster and running well below the safe limit!!!
