Yet another kudo for Horizon Hobby and their Saito support.

My .82 dropped a valve a couple of weeks ago so I sent it in with a letter explaining what happened. I called today to find out what was being done with the engine, and they are replacing it. Again. The note said that the valve retainer must have snapped, which they see occassionally, and that since everything was under warranty and it was not cost-effective to repair the engine, a replacement was sent. However, instead of another .82, they are sending a 1.00. It was the same cost as the .82GK, so they had no problems with this. I just feel wary about the .82 since I've had two in a row with problems, and they were more than happy to oblige with the 1.00. I think I may put this in my Chipmunk (that I need to finish building) and convert my Extra to electric or something since a friend has some electric gear he doesn't want anymore.

I checked the tracking number they gave me to see when it would arrive, and it is scheduled for a Saturday delivery (tomorrow). They did not want me to have to wait through the holiday weekend without an engine. You can't beat that!
