JimmyA - How are you? I have been flying a spectre with a ramtec/os 91 combination you speak of. Needless to say that this a very reliable setup with ample power. The airframe has almost 200 flights on it, and it would have been around 300 by now if I hadn't delved into turbines.

The plane can be landed slowely without a problem. Move the c of g back a little, and nose high, power on landings are easily achievable. Gear doors and brakes are nice to have but are by no means necessary. Stick with two servos total in the wing - this is ample. From the many spectres I have seen in our country, the airframe has a great tolerence for varying weights - that is I have seen 10lb spectres, and I have seen 17lb spectres fly. Average weight is around the 13lb mark. I hope this has been of some help, regards Frankie.
