The magic will do great upright flat spins.

The CG needs to be pretty far back to do it. Mine is around 5 1/4 from the leading edge. If when you bring it into a spin with full up elevator, half to ful throttle, and the nose is still down, it is nose heavy. Be carefull of tail heavy, getting back out of a flat spin can be hard if it is too far back. a very small change in CG can make a big difference in how the plane behaves.
