Default RE: identify this engine

I saw a twin twostroke (opposed type) in a gas station in southern Utah-- the owner was trying to sell it as an antique.
I asked and was told it was a washing machine engine - really
My mom had a single cylinder washing machine in late 1930's -you stepped down hard on a ratchet pedal to start it . then pulled a lever on th sideof th washer to engage the agitator drive. I think it was a Coronado.
I have yet to see any model guys try to convert these old turkeys to use in planes . anyone else know about these engines?
PS -you have to be older than dirt to know about these--
