After the shakedown practice event that was held recently, the annual AGM took place to discuss some issues that had been raised over the past months and some updates have been made in the positive direction to allow more scope and ease to entrants and drifters all over the UK alike. Most noteably, the updates include:

#1 - Motor limit has been reduced to 18T to allow the Team Orion Drift motors, most significantly.

#2 - Bodyshells can now represent FF and MR layout cars as well as FR and AWD ones to give drifters more variety.

#3 - The new HPI T-Drift tyre is now okay'ed for use in the D1RC UK Drift Series which now means that there are two tyres available to choose from. The performance is almost identical to that of the Yokomo ZERO-ONE 'R' Super Drift #ZR-DR02 tyre.

On another note, a new sponsorship deal has just taken place with Mirage Racing, distributors of products from such companies as HPI, Hot Bodies, X-Ray, Team Orion and Nosram. This is a big step forward for UK Drifting.

We are getting 30 pairs of T-Drift tyres in for Round 1, before they officialy hit UK soil, so if anyone enters for that and specify on the entry sheet (just write it on) that they want some for then, do so. We are going to sell them to entrants at a lower price than RRP which is £5.99 a pair (compared to the Yoke's RRP which is around £10 a pair) but most probably at the same price as we do the Yoke's for D1RC entrants which is £5 a pair. Both cheaper than their RRP. Also, some people outside of the UK that have tested T-Drifts for quite a while now, say that they are pretty durable.
