hrm, a couple of things I can think of to look at although I dunno much about gyro troubles.... this is hooked to the tail motor right? and you're talking about the tail motor spinning or not spinning?

double check and make sure both of the pots on the 3 in 1 are turned off with the battery removed (only one matters, but I can't remember which (probably the 3 in 1 gyro), but it's not a bad idea to have them both turned off which is fully counter clockwise)

you might also try flying the heli without the gyro. I helped a guy like this a while back and it turned out to be that he got a defective gyro.
