Yeah getting him to knife edge through the trees on approach took some coaching

Actually, the trees are pretty far back, just a zoom thing there. There is a 2' embankment off the end of the runway but the scary part is the embankment is actually part of the drainage ditch, and it's over 5 feet deep! If your plane goes in, it is tough to get it back out. Fortunately that rarely happens at the field. That is a road back there but it is private access to get to the rest of the field, so only the property owner and club members use it. Nice road for retrieving planes!
