Default RE: Mini magic extra

Hi pkh, I was using a KAN 650mAH NiMh receiver pack and a JR R700 receiver. Was also flying a 1200 NiMH pack at one stage. My transmitter is a JR 9XII (Or 9303 equivalent) Out of curiosity, I even tried an electron 6.

In all cases, I noticed glitching and a much shorter antanna down range test with the HS-81s. Swapped out the HS-81s for a similar number of any other servo I had lying around and my range test results increased dramatically. With the antenna up, the glitching is seldom noticable, except when flying at a particularly noisy field. Since the plane is small and I like my 3D work in close, I've never had a problem when performing manouvres.

As to the centering, I guess it could be a little subjective, but I made that observation based on my flight experience with the HS-81 as compared to a higher end servo on the same airframe/setup performing the exact same manouvers. The higher end servo just seemed to groove the plane a lot better with no input on the sticks.

Anyhow, like I said, I'm still using HS-81s on the plane - there's nothing really bad about them. Just wanted to point out that there are better performing, albeit usually more expensive alternatives.

I'm pretty much a newbie, but I hope that helps.
